Yoshikawa Shinto

Yoshikawa Shinto
   Another name for the rigaku ('study of li, principle) Shinto, developed by Yoshikawa, Koretari (1616-1694). Koretari rejected the Buddhist elements in yui-itsu shinto and worked to synthesise Shinto and shushi Confucian thought.
