Kotsu-anzen
   Traffic safety, travel safety. A popular benefit these days for which amulets can be obtained from Shinto shrines. Bus companies have purification rites performed before putting new vehicles into service, as do airlines. Japanese railways has its own kami worshipped for safety (anzen). The acknowledged specialist in traffic safety is Narita-san Budhist temple, near Narita airport. Some shrines however have developed a rite for purifying cars.
