Hidaka hibuse matsuri
   The warding-off-fire festival of Hidaka, Iwate prefecture, based at the Hidaka jinja. Floats called hayashi-yatai (festival music floats) carry tiered rows of young girls who beat small drums, while others have flute and drum bands.
