Keidaichi

Keidaichi
The precincts of a shrine. Generally the outer parts farthest from the seat of the kami are least sacred. The worshipper passes through various boundaries within the keidaichi; under one or more torii, past a fence (tama-gaki) through a gate (shin-mon), over a bridge (hashi) etc. to reach the centre. See Jinja.
